The Forrest Wilson Experience

Beyond The Beyond with Roman Angerer

Forrest Wilson Season 1 Episode 72

A bio from Roman Angerer: Bridging Traditional Wisdom and Scientific Inquiry
Since childhood, mystical experiences have shaped my journey. Drawn to both Western philosophy and Eastern traditions, I’ve long been devoted to exploring spiritual growth and integrating these insights into scientific models.

For the past fifteen years, I’ve researched how human consciousness develops and how this process parallels philosophers` views of life and mystical paths. My colleague Risa Rae and I validate and showed interrater reliability on the developmental model that sprang from this inquiry. Transcendental Pluralism – the name of the model – maps stages of maturity in consciousness and makes them measurable while being the first model including distinct typological trajectories mirrored in human language habits. It was used at The New Human University to research student development and support their growth throughout their transformational learning program.

Currently I focus on a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology at Ubiquity University. There my work centers on advanced meditative states and non-dual experiences that parallel the later stages of consciousness. This part of my exploration currently centers on quantitative EEG research, where my friend Dr. Alison Ooms and I investigate insights grounded in over two decades of contemplative practice and teaching.

As a father of two little children, I support other parents in integrating mindfulness and simplified philosophical and mystical practices into their relations hoping to serve the healthy growth of humanity from children`s shoes up to the very leading edge.
